In this ongoing role, you will transform research, articles, interviews, podcasts, and scripts into engaging, calm, and clear videos for YouTube and social platforms. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person collaboration in Austin, Texas. You will work closely with a small team to craft documentary-style explainers, educational shorts, podcast episodes, and interview clips in various formats, ensuring each piece is accessible and respectful to a curious audience. Deliverables
- Edit and assemble documentary-style educational videos from raw footage, scripts, and research materials
- Produce short-form explainers, podcast episodes, and interview clips in multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) with captions and exports
- Collaborate with the creative team to maintain a consistent narrative and visual style
- Ensure clarity, depth, and respect for the audience in all content
- Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality videos on schedule
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience editing educational, documentary, or narrative video content
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong storytelling skills and ability to distill complex topics into clear, engaging narratives
- Experience creating content for YouTube and social platforms, including knowledge of aspect ratios and captioning
- Interest in holistic health, wellness, or related fields is highly valued
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote/hybrid environment
- Availability for occasional in-person work in Austin, Texas
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Portfolio with 2–5 relevant video samples (educational, documentary, podcast, or narrative work preferred)
