About Datalily
At Datalily we bring data stories to life through strategic market research and powerful content campaigns. Leading B2B SaaS brands like HubSpot, DoorDash, and Klaviyo rely on our expertise and the content we create to engage key audiences and drive their businesses forward.
We're a small team of hardworking creatives and data scientists who pride ourselves on delivering exceptional content campaigns and becoming key members of our client partners' marketing teams.
We're women-owned and led, and committed to supporting talented individuals in growing their skills and becoming part of our leadership team.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced B2B SaaS marketing writer, editor, and storyteller to create and manage high-impact content campaigns, from research and storytelling to conversion-focused copywriting and SEO/AEO optimization. You’ll work on product-focused blog and website content, research-driven report campaigns, case studies, and promotional assets, doing strategy, briefing, writing, editing, and optimization. We’re looking for a creative, critical thinker with solid writing chops, new ideas, and experience writing for B2B SaaS marketing teams who can jump right in and get started.
You should be comfortable analyzing and understanding SaaS audiences, delivering a unique narrative with a clear point of view, incorporating data and research, and adapting to each client’s specific needs. You should also be a strong writer and editor, respond well to feedback, and always be looking for ways to improve our processes and content.
While we understand that AI can be a useful tool, we’re looking for someone who can write content without AI creating the first draft, who can adopt a client’s brand voice and tone while writing conversationally and confidently, and not making the reader’s eyes glaze over because it sounds like a robot wrote it.
This role will work closely with our data analyst, copywriters, and designers to bring campaigns to life, and you’ll collaborate directly with clients, owning strategy, coming up with new ideas, and making sure that every project meets their goals. You’ll have the opportunity to eventually lead our content team and advance at our fast-growing startup.
Location: Hybrid role based in Framingham, MA (3 days per week in our office)
Key responsibilities
- Content marketing strategy: Own the strategic direction for research-driven campaigns, marketing content, and thought leadership initiatives. Analyze audience needs, competitive landscape, and client goals to create content that drives measurable results across the funnel. - Briefing + outlining content: Create detailed content briefs and outlines that set writers up for success, incorporating SEO/AEO requirements, audience insights, strategic messaging, and brand voice guidelines. Define content structure, key points, research requirements, and data needs. Collaborate with the data analyst to identify relevant statistics and insights. Ensure briefs provide clear direction while leaving room for creative execution.
- Writing: Write high-quality, conversion-focused content across formats including blog posts, research reports, case studies, website copy, and promotional assets. Translate complex SaaS concepts and data into clear, compelling narratives without relying on AI-generated first drafts. Adapt to each client's brand voice while maintaining a conversational, engaging tone. Incorporate research findings, data points, and customer insights to create content with a distinct point of view.
- Editing: Edit and refine content from freelance writers and team members to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with client goals and brand standards.
