Job Overview:
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager in Austin who genuinely lives on social media, someone who scrolls, creates, edits, posts, and experiments daily because they love it. This role is ideal for someone who may not have “years and years” of agency experience yet, but can clearly demonstrate a strong instinct for social, an eye for content, and the drive to grow accounts thoughtfully and consistently.
This is a hands-on role for a creator who’s comfortable being on camera, editing short-form video, and taking ownership of social content with minimal hand-holding. We care far more about your ability to execute, learn quickly, and think creatively than we do about perfect résumés or titles.
We’re a creative agency, so experience or a strong interest in video production, photography, or the broader creative space is a major plus. You’ll start by primarily managing our company’s social channels, with opportunities to support and grow into managing client accounts over time. This is not a passive scheduling role; you’ll be actively involved in filming, editing, publishing, and iterating on content across platforms.
Our agency specializes in high-level strategy and content creation for brands launching products and services globally. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us, someone excited by a small, fast-moving team, eager to wear multiple hats, and interested in eventually helping lead social strategy and manage content and campaigns for clients as the agency continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage social media accounts for both our company and select clients
- Develop and execute social strategies aligned with brand and business goals
- Create, edit, and publish short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
- Be comfortable appearing on camera when needed, including speaking, narrating, or serving as the face of content
- Edit content using tools like CapCut (required) and Canva
- Capture behind-the-scenes footage on set or during projects for social use
- Build and maintain content calendars
- Monitor performance, engagement, and growth, and adjust strategy accordingly
- Stay ahead of trends, platform changes, and emerging formats
- Engage with audiences and help grow brand presence organically
- Work closely with our creative team while operating independently day-to-day
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of hands-on social media management experience
- Background in video production, photography, content creation, or a creative agency environment (strong plus)
- Deep, current knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
- Someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes social media
- Confident, natural on camera, with strong communication skills
- Proven ability to edit short-form video quickly and effectively (CapCut experience required)
- Highly self-directed — able to work with little oversight and take initiative
- Creative thinker with strong instincts for trends, hooks, and storytelling
- Comfortable managing both company and client-facing social accounts
- Flexible, adaptable, and excited to grow with a small but ambitious team
Important Details:
- Part-time position
- Hybrid: ~90% remote / ~10% on-location
- Must reside in Austin, TX (non-negotiable)
- Flexible hours, manage your own schedule
- Target start date: Mid-January
- $23/hour Base +Performance bonuses + Project bonuses
