Salary Range: Starting at $85,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Director of Marketing and Communications provides oversight, direction, coordination and development for the marketing and communications functions for Enrollment Services. This role is responsible for the supervision and direction of all marketing and communication for the College for Health, Community and Policy. This includes oversight for marketing personnel and dissemination of information. The position will develop and coordinate all internal and external communications and implement marketing strategies related but not limited to electronic and print publications, undergraduate recruitment and promotional campaigns, webpages, social media, and multimedia content.
Core Responsibilities

Directs the communication and marketing efforts; determines strategies, manages resources, administers budgets adherence to the University compliance policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Maintains tracking and reporting systems to compile data and establish target communication & marketing efforts, run reports to monitor and analyze campaign progress and results.
- Develops and oversees a comprehensive marketing plan that includes continuous enhancement of the Web site, implementation of marketing strategies for the purpose of increasing undergraduate enrollment, recruitment and retention.
- Manages the production of college-wide magazine, Engage, including hiring and directing any freelance work.

Develops, cultivates and maintains internal communications networks within the college and the University community.

Directs the work of assigned support staff.

Attends internal (college) meetings and serves on committees. Attends external (university/community) events to represent the college.

Develops professional communications, public relations and marketing programs, determining appropriate communications outlets and events to increase knowledge and exposure for the college.

Oversees selection, administers training, supervision, development and evaluation to all assigned communication and marketing team specialist and support staff.

Oversees the conceptualization, writing, editing, production and distribution of all electronic and print media for recruiting and retention communications, marketing and publications.

Demonstrates knowledge of the latest social media outlets and research web multi-media, social media trends and other communication strategies and best practices; proactively contribute to the enrollment services unit's multimedia strategy.

Provides oversight of assessment initiatives for communication and marketing programs and services including planning, data gathering and analysis. Coordinates design, implementation, and interpretation of assessment projects within the department.

Conducts data analysis of marketing material workflow.

Serves as primary liaison with UTSA Marketing and Communications group and works with internal and external partners.

Prepares comprehensive reports and proposals regarding communication and marketing data and effectiveness of campaigns for the College for Health, Community and Policy.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
-
Six (6) years professional experience in marketing and/or communications or position(s) in admissions, financial aid registrar or one-stop enrollment center(s), or student affairs with a specific responsibility for marketing and communication of these program areas.
- Three (3) years supervisory experience in one or more of the required areas.

Demonstrated experience with CRM platforms and communication campaigns.

Demonstrated experience with desktop publishing, presentation and web design software.

This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited institution.

Knowledge of marketing and advertising strategies utilizing web-based technology and other electronic methods of communicating to targeted audiences.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrate independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Ability to operate audio/visual equipment and set up marketing equipment and displays.

Knowledge of web and graphic design principles and understanding of current trends.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of the Apple operating system, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
