Reporting to: Integrative Creative Manager/ Creative Lead

Key Collaborators: Social Media Growth Manager, Creators, Head of Marketing

Location: Hybrid (20 hours per week) – Includes 1–2 on-site filming days in NYC and 1 remote workday. This role is based in our New York office. Opportunity for full-time growth.

Overview of Role

Sloomoo Inc. is seeking a passionate, innovative, and aesthetically inclined Content Creator to execute our social media presence with a focus on video-first storytelling across all social platforms that engage Sloomoo Inc.'s growing community. This role is instrumental in crafting engaging, high-quality content that strengthens our brand mission, fosters community engagement, and elevates Sloomoo Inc.'s presence in the social media space. The ideal candidate is deeply attuned to social trends, a savvy video content creator and editor, has a refined visual sense and is community-obsessed. This role will help shape the next chapter of Sloomoo Inc.’s digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production:

Create, star in, and edit short- and long-form content aligning with the brand's voice and messaging.
Collaborate with the Social Media Growth Manager to review monthly content calendars, align on goals and messaging, and execute culturally-driven videos.
Oversee end-to-end video production for social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube), including filming, editing, sound design, and visual effects, to deliver polished, high-quality content—independently and in collaboration with the Social Media Growth Manager.
Serve as the go-to content creator for the Social Media team.
Travel as needed for events, community activations, and other content opportunities.
Manage workflow efficiently to ensure timely content delivery.

Deeply knowledgeable about social media trends and best practices, especially for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
Loves experimenting with various content styles and video treatments.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, self-motivated approach to meeting deadlines.
Ready to step in front of the camera to bring content to life.
A deep understanding of social algorithms and a love for trends, social media culture, and humor—you know what makes content shareable and viral.

Qualifications:

3+ years creating & producing digital social media content, including short-form videos.
Experienced in video capture and editing using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and native platform editing tools.
As a social native, you have a deep understanding of the social media landscape, trends and platforms.
Highly creative, versatile and out-of-box thinker
Passion for social media, aesthetics, and experimental content creation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable creating content that features yourself, including showing your face, hands, and speaking to the camera.
Availability to be on-site in NYC or in-person events 1–2 days per week for filming.
