Position Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Sportswear Designer for a 2 - 4-week project. The ideal candidate for the Freelance Sportswear Designer role will take designs from concept through to production, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional performance.
Responsibilities Of The Freelance Sportswear Designer
- Develop and execute designs for a range of men's or women's athletic apparel, including basketball shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants.
- Create detailed technical packages, including flat sketches and specifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and align with brand standards.
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to produce high-quality design visuals.
- Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to prototypes.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Sportswear Designer:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience designing athletic apparel for menswear or womenswear, particularly basketball shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Sportswear Designer:
- 4 years of experience in sportswear design.
- Familiarity with current trends in athletic apparel and streetwear.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and technical design.
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers and understanding of production processes.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field is required.
