Summary
The Microsoft for Startups team is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Content Marketing Manager to join our Microsoft for Startups team. This role will be responsible for driving the strategy for our organic content channels, including social media, blogs, and our website. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Content Marketing, PR, and Media Relations, with a proven track record of amplifying brand narratives through various channels.
About Microsoft for Startups: Microsoft for Startups is a program designed to support venture-backed founders accelerate their startup journey. The program provides startup founders with a wealth of resources: access to free Azure credits, pre-built templates to help startups build AI applications quickly and efficiently, and go-to-market support to uncover leads as startups grow towards product-market fit.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for Microsoft for Startups, focusing on organic content channels such as social media, blogs, and the website.
- Own the external narrative for Microsoft for Startups, working closely with internal Corporate Communications and Business Development teams to amplify our message through press releases and media outreach.
- Drive the strategy for our channel marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
- Manage and oversee the creation of high-quality content that resonates with our target audience of venture-backed startup founders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all content channels.
- Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize and improve our content strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content marketing, PR, and media relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in content marketing, PR, and media relations, preferably within the tech industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, SEO, and content performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Preference for candidates with familiarity with the startup ecosystem.
- Strong stakeholder and program management skills.

- Pay Range: $41 - 46.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
