About Daysee

Daysee is a new family photography studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, founded by two local moms who believe family photography should feel beautiful, natural, and genuinely fun.

We're building something a little different. A modern photography studio with an editorial eye, a playful spirit, and a love for documenting the little moments that make family life special.

We're looking for a creative, social-media-native person to help bring the Daysee world to life online.

The Role

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, has an exceptional visual eye, and knows how to create content that feels engaging, authentic, and worth following.

You'll work closely with our founders to help develop and execute our social content, create engaging Reels, curate our Instagram grid, and build relationships with our growing community.

We're particularly interested in someone with a background or strong interest in photography, creative direction, fashion, design, children and family brands, or editorial content.

Our goal is to make our social presence feel less like advertising and more like a visual journal of the people, stories, and moments that make Daysee special.

What You'll Do

Content Creation: Create and edit engaging Instagram Reels, Stories, and posts using our professional photography and video content.
Grid Planning & Curation: Help plan and maintain a beautiful, cohesive Instagram grid with a strong editorial aesthetic.
Community Engagement: Build genuine relationships with our followers, local businesses, creators, and relevant NYC communities through thoughtful, proactive engagement.
Content Planning: Help develop and manage a monthly content calendar, ensuring a consistent and thoughtful social presence.
Campaign Support: Support creative planning and content execution for seasonal launches, studio events, collaborations, and promotions.
Creative Ideas: Bring fresh ideas, emerging trends, storytelling concepts, and new content formats that feel relevant to our brand.
Performance Insights: Track basic social performance and help identify what's resonating with our audience.

Who We're Looking For

You're genuinely social-media-native and understand what makes content perform on Instagram and TikTok.
You have a strong visual eye and appreciation for photography, composition, typography, and editorial design.
You're confident creating and editing short-form videos, particularly Instagram Reels.
You're familiar with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Later, Planoly, or similar.
You understand how to build organic engagement and genuine community connections.
You're organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
You're a strong communicator who can translate creative direction into polished content.
You have experience creating content for a brand, creative business, or your own social channels.

Bonus points if:

You have a background in photography, fashion, design, editorial, or another creative field.
You're based in Brooklyn or NYC.
You're a photographer or content creator yourself.
You've helped grow an Instagram account organically.
You have experience working with lifestyle, family, or hospitality brands.

Working With Us

This is a flexible, part-time role at $30 per hour, averaging approximately 7–8 hours per week.

You'll work closely with our founders on creative direction, with the opportunity to take ownership of social content execution, community engagement, and ongoing content planning.

We'll provide access to our professional photography, video footage, brand assets, and upcoming campaign plans. We're looking for someone who can take these materials and turn them into thoughtful, engaging content, while bringing their own ideas and creative perspective.

As a small, growing business, we value creativity, initiative, collaboration, and people who genuinely care about the work they put into the world.

How to Apply

We'd love to see your work! Please include:

A short introduction about yourself and why Daysee interests you.
Examples of Instagram accounts you've worked on or content you've created, especially Reels.
A portfolio or examples of your creative work, if available.
One creative idea you'd love to bring to Daysee's Instagram.

We're much more interested in your creative eye, initiative, and understanding of social media than formal qualifications.
