Social Media Marketing Specialist — PitchMap

About Us

PitchMap is a map-based B2B networking platform built for real-time business discovery by location, think of it as a live digital trade show floor. We're early-stage, with a technical team building the product, and right now our single biggest priority is getting PitchMap in front of people and making it spread.

Role Overview

We need a social media expert who can go from zero to viral, someone who lives and breathes platform trends, knows how to hook attention fast, and can build our presence hands-on, not just direct it. Phase one is simple: get us visible and get us talked about. Broader marketing comes after. Freelancers can support with design and production, but you own the strategy and the execution that makes content actually move.

What You'll Do

Build and grow PitchMap's social presence from the ground up, organic-first, virality-focused
Create and/or direct content across platforms, hands-on when needed, not just briefs
Define our voice and messaging: the right message, the right platforms, how we want to be perceived
Spot trends and cultural moments early and move on them fast
Track what works, kill what doesn't, double down immediately
Brief and direct freelancers for design/production support as needed

What We're Looking For

Proven experience making content go viral, show us the numbers
Deep, firsthand understanding of US social media culture and the American consumer
Comfortable being both strategist and executor, you can plan the play and run it yourself
Strong sense of brand voice and positioning, not just posting
Moves fast, tests constantly, adapts in real time

Preferred

Experience in tech, SaaS, or B2B marketing

Location & Eligibility

This role requires you to be based in the United States and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Deep familiarity with the American market is essential, this isn't something that translates from outside experience.

Compensation

This is an equity-based role to start. You'll receive shares and join as part of the early executive team, with real ownership in what we build. As soon as we hit funding or start generating revenue, expected within the next couple of months, compensation moves to equity plus competitive salary plus performance bonus.
