Freelance Design Recruiter

Design Humans — Remote | Commission-Based

Design Humans is looking for freelance design recruiters to partner with us on both direct hire and contract searches across product, UX, brand, and creative. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys running searches end-to-end and has strong instincts for both talent and client alignment.

We’re specifically looking for someone highly motivated, commercially minded, and excited to operate in a commission-based environment.

What You’ll Do

• Run direct hire and contract searches across Product, UX, Brand, and Creative

• Partner on role intake and search strategy

• Source and engage passive design talent

• Screen candidates and assess fit

• Manage candidate process end-to-end

• Partner on offer strategy and close

• Maintain strong candidate experience throughout

Ideal Background

• Must have experience hiring or staffing designers

• Background in design recruiting, design ops, or design leadership

• Experience running full-cycle recruiting for design roles

• Strong commercial instincts and motivation in a commission-based model

• Comfortable working independently and managing searches

• Strong understanding of design craft and portfolios

• Agency or search experience preferred

Engagement Structure

• Freelance / contract

• Remote

• Flexible hours

• Commission-based compensation

Compensation

• Commission paid per successful placement

• Direct hire: % of collected placement fee

• Contract: % of margin or start bonus (based on engagement)

• Paid after candidate start / client payment
