1kx (https://1kx.capital/) is an early-stage investment firm that specializes in ecosystem growth. We primarily lead Seed and Series A investment rounds in crypto & web3 projects, covering themes such as web3 infrastructure, DeFi, NFTs, gaming and arts & culture. We started in 2018 and have since been building a world-class platform to support our portfolio of 80+ companies, with the goal of being the most founder-friendly and helpful source of capital.

As Mid-Level Designer for 1kx, you will be responsible for the day-to-day design needs and implementation of design solutions across our digital mediums. The role will be hands-on and you will be working directly with one of our Partners and team to help bring our brand and our work to life visually. This role is an hourly-based contract estimated to be 10-15 hours per week, with the possibility to increase over time. Contributors will be expected to track their billable hours.

What you offer:

3-5 years of industry experience as a graphic designer
Ability to execute creative work for a remote team and with minimal oversight
Expertise in: Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and comfortable using tools such as google slides
Photoshop, animation skills, or familiarity with no code tools like webflow is a plus.
Comfortable working with a brand guideline and illustrated assets to produce infographics, or other complex illustrated graphics
Background in setting, maintaining, and evolving strategic brand vision, goals, and standards
Excellent eye for detail and communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects and manage projects
A portfolio that demonstrates your process & projects you have previously contributed to
Knowledge of crypto & web3 a plus, but openness to learning more about these industries is critical (and we are also happy to help you become more familiar with this industry as you work with us)

What you'll do:

Create and design assets for communications channels (social media posts, blog imagery) and print-ready files for company initiatives (events, product, swag)
Design and produce digital deliverables, including reports, powerpoint presentations, and newsletters, as required
Propose and produce design solutions that are relevant and timely. You have your finger on the pulse of what is trending in web3, and you can pitch us ideas that are creative, appropriate, and consistent with brand guidelines.

Ability to work well under pressure, complete multiple assignments and function effectively in a high-volume workplace
