Our Boston area home delivered meal program, school aged meal program and direct to consumer initiative that caters specifically to elders have an immediate need for a freelance nutrition or dietary professional for multiple consulting projects.

As we strive to better meet the nutritional needs of our home delivered meal recipients we are seeking someone who will:

· Analyze existing meal and menu plans for nutritional values

· Provide and suggest alternatives to existing meal options to meet Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) and Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requirements and standards

· Develop required documentation for EOEA and DESE menus and meal pattern validation

· Observe meal preparation and portioning to find opportunities for improvement

· Provide coaching for improvement of preparation, portioning and process

The ideal candidate will:

· Be familiar and proficient with EOEA and DESE standards and requirements

· Have a degree or certification from a nutrition/dietary related degree or certification program

· Have 5+ years of experience analyzing and developing dietary plans and menus and will have examples to share

· Will assess the project and scope of work being requested and submit a proposal

· Provide 3 references

Benefits:

· You will be able to work from your location for the bulk of the project with the exception of occasional on site sessions for observation and coaching.

· Work can be done on your schedule as long as target completion date and benchmarks are met

· There is potential for additional work at the completion of this project
