Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

Assign and top-edit 20–30 digital stories per month, including articles, listicles, and galleries focused on decorating, DIY, cleaning and organizing, entertaining, holidays, and gardening.
Collaborate closely with the Home Design Director to ensure content aligns with audience growth, traffic goals, and overall editorial strategy.
Program key home content sections on a weekly basis to maximize discoverability and reader engagement.
Ensure all content meets Good Housekeeping 's editorial standards for accuracy, quality, voice, and SEO best practices.
Mentor and provide thoughtful editorial guidance to freelance and junior writers, helping elevate the quality of published content.
Identify timely trends and develop fresh, innovative story ideas that resonate with home and lifestyle audiences. Partner with cross-functional editorial teams to support content planning and execution across digital platforms.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

7+ years of experience producing and editing digital editorial content, preferably covering home, design, lifestyle, or related topics.
Demonstrated experience assigning, editing, and publishing high-performing digital content.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
Passion for home design, decorating, DIY, gardening, cleaning, and organizing content.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and adapt to evolving audience interests.
Experience mentoring writers and providing constructive editorial feedback.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. This is a remote position.

The hourly pay range for this role is $40.00–$50.00 per hour . This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
