We are building permit expeditor company. We do consulting work for architects and builders. We are looking for a freelance person to outsource some of our Cad Drafting & expeditor work. Minimum 3 years Experience in residential CAD Drafting and permit filing through the various Long Island building departments.
I am offering approximately 10 hours per week or more as needed. This is an independent contractor position and you will receive a 1099. Please send resume and work samples of drawings you have prepared.

Must have Car. Travel To jobsites required for field measuring. CAD drafting from home and come to office for meetings as needed. Office located in Hicksville NY and all Jobsites in Nassau & Suffolk Counties.
Must have own computer with architecture and other standard software.
Must know rescheck & comcheck
Must know Zoning & how to check zones, do FAR calcs and fill out zoning sheets
Must have knowledge of how variances work
License not necessary but you must know what you are doing as there is No Training. Be able to draw house plans, including sections, elevations & Site plans Experience in answering town objections. Be able to do zoning research, fill out application forms and prepare PDF's. Complete 100% ready for Filing In addition you must answer Objections.
