Artful Home's Los Angeles design studio is looking for an independent contractor who works freelance and would be interested in partnering with us as a freelance Women's Wear Designer. (Work can be done onsite or remotely)
Responsibilities For This Position, Include
- Developing seasonal collection concepts and color palettes
- Researching, and curating appropriate fabrications from the fabric market
- Developing all style designs and preparing designs for the tech designer
- Evaluating designs as they come to reality and actively participating in and co-owning the fits of the garments while working closely with technical design on execution.
Individuals Who Are Interested Must Possess The Following
- Education, training and experience in fashion design, business merchandising or retail, or similar fields
- Understanding of the garment production process and exposure to wholesale, retail, Ecommerce environments
- Working knowledge of production workflow and scheduling
- Ability to travel on occasion
- Ability to work within established safety and quality guidelines, organize workspaces and the workload, and meet deadlines
