Scope of Work
Develop a more distinctive, recognizable voice for Elements and carry it across our copy, creative campaigns, and guest communications.
We’ve never created a formal copywriting Brand Bible or clearly defined what the Elements voice sounds like. As a result, some of our go-to festival language naturally overlaps with language used across the industry. This is an opportunity to give the team a stronger framework and a more unique vocabulary to build from.
Our art, stages, characters, and experiences already have a very distinct identity. The goal is to bring that same level of personality into how we communicate, so the Elements voice feels as recognizable as the festival itself.
Responsibilities & Duties
Brand Voice + Strategy
- Build on the existing Elements brand rather than starting from scratch. Further develop a written Brand Bible defining our voice, tone, personality, messaging pillars, and communication principles.
- Establish how the voice adapts across ticket sales, lineup announcements, experiential storytelling, community communications, humor, and important information.
- Collaborate with our visual/design team as the 2027 identity develops.
- Continue refining the voice, over time, based on what resonates with our audience.
Copy + Creative Campaigns
- Write and guide copy for email, Instagram, ads, campaigns, and major announcements.
- Develop original creative concepts that feel less like traditional festival marketing and more uniquely Elements.
- Find compelling ways to market our art, stages, characters, experiences, community, and culture alongside the music.
- Develop more non-sales-focused communications that entertain, engage, or invite participation rather than just asking customers to buy something.
- Manage the creative development of new campaign concepts and work with the appropriate team members to execute them.
- Our existing team handles email formatting/deployment, and we have specialists who handle TikTok and Twitter, so this role does not need to personally execute every channel, but is welcome to elevate these channels with new ideas.
Team Structure and Collaboration- SEERS is a strategic partner to Elements and leads our marketing strategy and execution. They are accountable for the broader marketing direction, coordination, and results.
- This role will work under SEERS as a specialized creative and brand developer, bringing additional focus and expertise to an area we all agree has growth potential. SEERS will remain the central point for integrating this work into the broader marketing strategy and execution.
Loyalty Program {SuperFans} + Community
- The goal is to make our most engaged customers feel like participants and insiders, not simply ticket buyers.
- Develop more customized communications for our loyal customers, superfans, and die-hard community, including:
- Insider emails, stories, previews, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Opportunities for guests to participate in the development and culture of Elements.
- More personalized communications based on interests and engagement.
- Expanding and re-imagining/re-imagining concepts such as Find Your Element, where guests took a quiz and were assigned an element, and received customized communications & activations based on their result.
Analytics + OptimizationProvide a concise monthly performance report showing what is growing, what is working, and what isn’t.
- Establish useful KPIs for different types of creative and content.
- Use AI and other tools where helpful to analyze audience reactions and identify patterns.
Cross-Department + Onsite
- Participate in weekly creative/marketing meetings.
- Work closely with SEERS, Art, Experience, Stage Production, Content, Influencers, and Marketing to identify stories and experiences worth highlighting.
- Learn what is being built early enough to market it creatively before the festival—not simply document it afterward.
- Be onsite during Elements to help guide content creators and influencers toward the experiences, installations, and details we most want guests to discover and share.
New Ideas + Experimentation
We want someone who brings ideas beyond the responsibilities listed above. That could be a new campaign, community concept, AI tool, interactive experience, content series, unusual partnership, or something we haven’t considered. Not every idea needs to work. Try things, measure the response, build on what connects, and move on from what doesn’t.
