We are looking for a creative and strategic
Copywriter who can bring our employer brand to life through compelling storytelling. In this role, you will shape our career site's messaging and create clear, engaging, and authentic content that connects with potential candidates. From employee stories and business summaries to career pages and benefits overviews, you will turn our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) into meaningful narratives that showcase who we are, what we offer, and what makes us a great place to work. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help strengthen our employer brand and inspire talent to explore career opportunities with us.
Must be able to work hybrid in one of the following locations: Minneapolis, MN, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, San Antonio, TX, Des Moines, IA.
Responsibilities: - Primary Scope: Shapes the career site's core messaging architecture and candidate-facing story framework. Translates employer brand and Employer Value Proposition (EVP) priorities into structured, engaging page copy.
- General Overview:
- This role requires a "storyteller". They are responsible for developing the career site's messaging architecture, page copy, and candidate-facing storytelling, transforming Employer Value Proposition and employer brand into clear, compelling content that informs, engages, and motivates candidates. The Copywriter will partner closely with content, creative, candidate experience, and business teams to create content experiences that strengthen employer brand perception and support talent attraction objectives.
- Core Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold the career site messaging framework, content structure, and tone-of-voice standards.
- Write clear, persuasive page copy, candidate landing pages, and narrative employee profiles tailored to target talent pools.
- Optimize copy across end-to-end candidate conversion journeys.
- Copywriter will help write this communication:
- Leaning towards short form writing (not social media post style), but also not journalistic articles
- Working primarily on website content writing, but also supporting digital print and social media
- People's stories
- LOB summaries
- Benefit summaries
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Pure copywriting practitioner who spends the majority of their time writing.
- Must submit writing samples; non-writing strategists should be excluded.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- Experience developing messaging frameworks, editorial standards, voice, and tone guidelines.
- Experience creating digital content, website copy, campaign messaging, and storytelling content.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and engaging candidate-facing communications.
- Strong understanding of content strategy, content structure, and user-centered content development.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, design, content, and business stakeholders.
Secondary Qualifications:
- Experience supporting employer branding, recruitment marketing, talent attraction, or talent acquisition initiatives.
- Experience writing for career sites, employer brand platforms, talent marketing campaigns, or candidate journeys.
- Familiarity with Employer Value Proposition (EVP) development, audience segmentation, and candidate centric messaging strategies.
- Understanding of SEO, content optimization, and digital content best practices.
- Experience developing employee stories, feature content, long-form storytelling and editorial content.
