Ready to turn your passion for social media, politics, and the pro-life movement into real-world impact?
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) is the nation’s largest pro-life political organization, with a network of more than 1 million Americans. We combine politics and policy with voter education and advocacy to protect unborn children and advance pro-life laws.
We are looking for a creative, plugged-in Social Media Fellow to join our Communications Team and help grow SBA’s digital presence in Iowa. You’ll create compelling short-form content, keep a pulse on Iowa political and social media trends, help engage young voters, and build relationships with college students, young adults, influencers, and pro-life advocates across the state.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build or expand their professional experience in social media, digital strategy, and political communications. The position may be structured as either part-time or full-time.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in weekly digital planning meetings, including the Monday Social Scrum and regular Communications Team huddles.
- Monitor conservative news, Iowa politics, and social media trends to identify timely opportunities for content.
- Brief the Communications Team on important Iowa developments and emerging digital conversations.
- Write scripts, direct, and produce original short-form content, including “On the Street” interviews and reaction-style videos.
- Develop creative, shareable video content supporting SBA’s Iowa efforts and national policy priorities.
- Identify and engage college and young adult groups throughout Iowa.
- Help build student coalitions that can engage and activate voters both online and on the ground.
- Coordinate social media collaborations with Iowa influencers and other partners.
- Track contacts, outreach, and engagement using organized spreadsheets and other tools.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- Passionate about the pro-life mission and committed to advancing a culture of life.
- Excited about digital strategy, political communications, and conservative messaging.
- Creative and constantly thinking about what could make great social content.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where the news cycle can change quickly.
- A resourceful problem solver who takes initiative.
- Adaptable, decisive, organized, and an effective communicator.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a larger communications team.
