A national media production team is seeking a Social Media Production Assistant to support an upcoming on-location content shoot in the South Carolina Lowcountry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in social media, digital storytelling, television, content creation, or production. The role will begin with an intensive production period from October 6-15, 2026, followed by the potential for ongoing part-time work supporting social media and digital content initiatives.
Travel accommodations, lodging, and meals will be provided during scheduled production days if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with social media content creation during on-location production
- Capture behind-the-scenes photos and vertical video content for social platforms
- Support the creation of short-form video, promotional content, and interviews
- Organize and manage digital media assets
- Assist production staff with equipment setup and general production needs
- Identify opportunities for real-time social media content during filming
- Support post-production social media and digital content efforts
- Follow direction from social media and production leadership
- Maintain professionalism, organization, and flexibility throughout the production process
Qualifications:
- Interest in social media, digital content, television, marketing, communications, or video production
- Comfortable capturing content using a smartphone or camera
- Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Comfortable working outdoors and on location
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in content creation, social media management, communications, photography, videography, or production support
- Experience creating short-form social media content
- Familiarity with digital media asset management
