The Social Media Virtual Assistant will contribute to the success of our Tourism Social Media Manager by managing and scheduling social media posts among other helpful tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule social media posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn) using provided content.
- Ensure all posts are accurately scheduled and posted at optimal times.
- Monitor engagement on posts and notify the team of any significant interactions or inquiries.
- Assist in basic reporting on social media performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with our brand and marketing strategy.
- Stay updated with the latest social media best practices and tools.
- Draft copy for posts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in social media management or a similar role.
- Knowledge and familiarity of Upstate New York including: Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Lake George and/or the Adirondacks.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Creative mindset with the ability to contribute new ideas.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for minor content adjustments.
- Experience with analytics tools to track social media performance.
