Role Overview: Retail & Digital Designer
We’re looking for a versatile designer to create promotional signage, print materials, and digital campaigns for a national outdoor retailer. In this role, you’ll design across physical retail spaces and digital channels—including the website, paid media, email, and social—working across a steady mix of promotions, products, and seasonal campaigns.
What You’ll Do
- Print & In-Store: Design in-store signage and point-of-purchase (POP) materials for campaigns and promotions, building assets in Adobe Illustrator and adapting them across print formats.
- Digital Channels: Create clear, effective digital assets in Figma across multiple channels and sizes for weekly promotions, website updates, paid media, email, and social channels.
- Systems & Production: Follow established brand guidelines, templates, and production processes (including preparing accurate files for print production and utilizing existing Figma components efficiently).
- Project Workflow: Gather briefs, assets, deadlines, and feedback from Asana. Reach out proactively when details are missing, and follow projects through review, revisions, and handoff under tight timelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Share practical suggestions if you see a way to improve design processes and keep projects moving collaboratively.
What You Bring
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing both retail print design (particularly promotional signage) and digital design, ideally with retail or ecommerce experience.
- Technical Toolkit: Confident Adobe Illustrator skills with a solid understanding of print production, alongside working proficiency in Figma and experience navigating established design systems.
- Soft Skills: The ability to manage your work independently, adapt quickly when priorities change, and bring good judgment and meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaboration: A proactive, collaborative approach where you follow up, pitch in, and keep momentum going.
- Bonus: Experience maintaining or extending shared Figma component libraries, including variants, Auto Layout, and variables.
