The Graphic Designer (Contractor) will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of both our existing marketing assets and content created to support our veterinary hospitals and other strategic initiatives. From concept through execution, this position will improve our client and Mission Pet Health brand experience by bringing our brand to life and maintaining consistency across all touchpoints.
Please note that this is a contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design multi-channel creative assets that are engaging and clean, with a consistent look and feel that adhere to brand guidelines.
- Ensure all corporate creative assets work to refine and enhance Mission Pet Health’s brand identity and align with the company’s unique culture and capabilities.
- Ensure creative content differentiates Mission Pet Health as the preferred partner for veterinary practice owners who are considering selling or partnering with a veterinary consolidator.
- Scope and create templates for our marketing team to be more efficient in multiple channels.
- Manage design needs such as campaign collateral, presentations, signage, and trade show materials as needed.
- Bring fresh ideas for design and content creation using your expertise and eye for great design.
- Work with Marketing stakeholders to ensure you provide high quality content that engages audiences, and is reflective of the quality medical care and client experience provided by our hospitals.
- Develop graphic templates for web/email campaigns, landing pages, print (flyers, brochures), social media, etc., that supports the portfolio content calendars and can be customized within digital systems to support individual hospital needs
- When volume exceeds your capacity, outsource to and manage freelance resources to ensure content is delivered at a high standard and within committed deadlines.
Required Experience And Education
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience as an in-house designer or at a marketing agency
- Solid knowledge of typography, layout, composition, color theory, and other graphic design fundamentals
- Strong experience excelling creatively and professionally within a deadline-driven work environment
- Work and experience in human or animal healthcare, preferred
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite including experience working in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (After Effects/Premiere Pro/XD/Canva, preferred)
- UX knowledge around design principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once on an assigned timeline
- Superior attention to detail
- Organized, flexible, and able to think and work beyond the brief
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities in various disciplines
