Senior Technical Writer & Stakeholder Engagement Lead – USDA BioPreferred Program
TriVision is seeking a senior communications professional for a remote, award-contingent contractor role supporting the USDA BioPreferred Program.
The selected individual will help USDA increase awareness and adoption of certified biobased products through technical writing, stakeholder engagement, media outreach and federal procurement communications.
Responsibilities:
- Write newsletters, case studies, reports, infographics, training materials and digital content
- Engage government, industry, nonprofit and rural-community stakeholders
- Organize stakeholder meetings and support industry events and conferences
- Conduct media outreach and monitor relevant media and bioeconomy trends
- Develop research, data and insights for program leadership
- Promote federal procurement requirements for biobased products
- Coordinate with USDA communications offices and state public information officers
- Support GovDelivery newsletters, social media content and occasional video scripts
- Assist with timelines, meeting minutes and program-status reporting
Qualifications:
- Approximately seven years of relevant communications experience
- Strong technical writing, research and editing skills
- Demonstrated stakeholder-engagement and relationship-building experience
- Ability to identify stakeholders, assess their influence and communicate effectively
- Experience working with government, industry or nonprofit organizations
- USDA, federal procurement, agriculture, sustainability or bioeconomy experience strongly preferred
- Experience with newsletters, case studies, research reports and digital communications
- Familiarity with GovDelivery and Section 508 accessibility preferred
- Ability to work remotely during Eastern Time business hours
- Must be able to complete USDA onboarding, required training and background-investigation requirements
