Title: Technical Writer
Project Duration: 12 months to start with the possibility of extension
Location: Remote
Position Overview:
Apply your strategic, organizational, and creative skills to provide informative content vital for our products and customer experience. A strong background in technical writing is must.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with multiple cross-functional teams distributed across the country and globally.
The Technical Writer is responsible for the creation of technical design documentation, accessible UX copy (i.e. alt text), managing UX strings, and supporting new tool implementations. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders like UX Design, UX Content Strategy, and other stakeholders across client.
The ideal candidate has experience contributing to innovation by connecting dots, building processes, and being flexible. They will collaborate with cross-functional leads within technical and UX teams. They’re able to receive critical feedback and communicate effectively even amongst strong opinions.
Responsibilities:
- Write clear and concise design/technical documentation in support of our regulatory and quality processes (e.g., graphical requirements specifications).
- Responsible for documentation submissions into Asset and Product Lifecyle Management (PLM and ALM) systems.
- Support process and tool improvements.
- Create accessible text and other technical microcopy, such as string IDs, within design files with Figma.
- Manage all UX strings across all products in support of translation processes.
- Help develop and maintain Technical Writing guidelines within our team’s UX writing style guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively and frequently with cross-functional stakeholders within and outside of UX, leading the revision process, and any deadlines.
- Work closely with UX managers to identify impacts and coordinate content outputs for all products / platforms.
Education and Experience:- BA or BS in a discipline related to Technical Writing and the English language (e.g. Business Communications, English), or 1-3 years related experience in content creation for a medical device manufacturer and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Healthcare, life sciences, or diabetes experience preferred.
- Must have ability to understand medical, clinical, and technical aspects of diabetes management and drug delivery products.

To work with our tools:
− Proficiency with Microsoft tools and applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
− Experience with DITA XML-based component content management systems, such as Madcap IXIA or similar.
− Experience with quality management systems like Arena, Polarion, or similar documentation systems (preferred).
− Proficiency with UX tools: Framer, Figma, Miro, Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet (preferred).
