Our client is seeking a Content Writer x 10 in Remote (Vienna, VA).
Role Description
• To support Enterprise Knowledge Management by modernizing and standardizing enterprise knowledge content to improve usability, searchability, governance compliance, and future AI-readiness.
• Partner with business units and subject matter experts to transform existing content into high-quality knowledge assets that support frontline employees and enhance the member experience.
• Review, analyze, and modernize existing procedural, policy, reference, and knowledge content in accordance with EKM standards.
• Rewrite and restructure content using approved AI-enabled technologies, templates, content models, style guides, metadata standards, and taxonomy requirements to improve content quality, consistency, and AI readiness.
• Collaborate with business unit SMEs and content owners to validate content accuracy, completeness, and business intent.
• Ensure content adheres to plain-language and user-centered design principles to improve findability, comprehension, and usability.
• Apply metadata, tagging, classification, and content governance standards to support enterprise search and AI-readiness initiatives.
• Participate in content inventories, audits, and gap analyses to identify outdated, redundant, or duplicate information.
• Align content with established migration requirements and prepare knowledge assets for future platform migration activities.
• Support testing, validation, and issue remediation activities associated with content modernization, migration, and knowledge management platform initiatives.
• Support quality assurance reviews and remediation activities to ensure published content meets EKM standards.
• Track content modernization progress and maintain status reporting for assigned business units and content portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to improve content consistency, governance compliance, and end-user experience.
• Participate in training, workshops, and content governance activities related to EKM modernization efforts.
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Knowledge Management, Business, Education, or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience creating, editing, or managing business, operational, instructional, procedural, or knowledge-based content.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to capture and document business processes and procedures.
• Experience organizing complex information into concise, easy-to-understand documentation.
• Experience working within defined content standards, templates, style guides, or governance frameworks.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills.
• Review, analyze, and modernize existing procedural, policy, reference, and knowledge content in accordance with EKM standards.

• Familiarity with AI-readiness concepts, including content standardization, metadata enrichment, and content quality optimization.
