Company: Art of Tea
Engagement: Ongoing freelance contract with potential to grow into an in-house role
Location: South Florida preferred, with remote editing and regular in-person capture days
Expected output: Approximately five finished videos per week
About the Role
Art of Tea is looking for a hands-on Video Editor who can transform footage, conversations, experiences, and ideas into distinctive content for organic social, brand storytelling, and paid advertising.
Editing is at the center of this role. You will own pacing, structure, sound, typography, motion, color, and final delivery. We also want someone who can recognize a strong story, develop an opening hook, contribute concepts, shape voiceovers, and elevate the work beyond conventional social ads.
You will work with original footage, Art of Tea’s existing content library, product assets, founder stories, hospitality experiences, travel, sourcing, and creative direction. You should be equally comfortable building an emotional 60-second film, a fast 15-second paid ad, and multiple social cutdowns from the same source material.
At Art of Tea, we believe tea changes how you feel, and how you feel changes everything. This person will help us translate that belief into a recognizable visual and storytelling language.
What You Will Do
- Edit raw footage into polished videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, paid social, digital campaigns, and other brand channels
- Create content ranging from 15-second performance edits to 60- to 90-second story-driven films
- Find the strongest story within founder conversations, interviews, product footage, travel, events, hospitality experiences, and archival material
- Develop opening hooks, narrative structure, emotional turns, pacing, and memorable endings
- Contribute original concepts, scripts, voiceovers, storyboards, treatments, and shot lists
- Recut longer footage into multiple platform-specific videos, hooks, and performance variations
- Add captions, text overlays, motion graphics, visual effects, product callouts, and calls to action
- Use music, original sound, ambient audio, voiceover, and sound design to strengthen each story
- Combine live footage, archival material, design, animation, collage, and AI-assisted visuals when they improve the idea
- Use Art of Tea’s existing asset library resourcefully before recommending additional production
- Participate in select content-capture days in South Florida and help direct footage based on the intended edit
- Adapt creative for vertical, square, and landscape formats when needed
- Collaborate with the marketing team on organic storytelling and paid creative
- Review content performance and use retention, engagement, and advertising feedback to improve future edits
- Maintain organized project files, source materials, exports, revisions, and reusable footage
- Communicate proactively about progress, creative questions, and potential delays
- Hands-on experience using Higgsfield, including its ChatGPT plugin or MCP-based workflows with ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI assistants, to develop concepts, generate visual assets, create motion and effects, iterate quickly, and incorporate AI-generated material into finished videos
- The ability to build repeatable AI-assisted production workflows that move from concept, scripting, and storyboarding through asset generation, editing, versioning, and final delivery
- Strong judgment about when AI strengthens a story and when live footage, archival material, or traditional editing will produce a more authentic result
Our Creative Standard
We are drawn to idea-first, cinematic, internet-native storytelling that feels human, visually distinctive, and emotionally engaging and indicate the level of originality, pacing, humor, sound, and creative authorship we value. The goal is to develop an original Art of Tea language rather than imitate another creator.
Our storytelling territory extends beyond product education. It includes ritual, identity, hospitality, travel, entrepreneurship, ambition, relationships, and the moments that change how someone feels.
