Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill is looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media & Content Coordinator to help grow our presence across Instagram and Facebook.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that great restaurant social media is about more than just posting pretty pictures. We’re looking for someone who can capture the food, people, atmosphere, and personality of Jackie Rey’s, turn those moments into engaging content, and use performance insights to help us continually improve.
The ideal candidate is both creative and strategic — someone who can come into the restaurant, see an opportunity for content, capture it, edit it, post it, and eventually say, “Here’s what’s working, here’s what isn’t, and here’s what I think we should try next.”
This is a paid opportunity, with flexibility depending on experience and availability. We are open to students, recent graduates, or experienced content/social media professionals.
What You’ll Do
Social Media Management
- Help manage Jackie Rey’s Instagram and Facebook presence
- Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar
- Schedule and publish posts, Reels, and Stories
- Write engaging captions that reflect the Jackie Rey’s brand and voice
- Stay current on social media trends, formats, and platform best practices
- Help ensure our social presence stays active, timely, and relevant
Content Creation
- Regularly capture photo and video content in the restaurant
- Photograph food, cocktails, specials, events, staff, guests, and the overall restaurant experience
- Capture short-form video that can be edited into engaging Reels and other social content
- Identify spontaneous moments and opportunities for content while working in the restaurant
- Edit photos and videos for social media
- Help develop creative concepts, recurring content series, and new ways to showcase Jackie Rey’s
Strategy & Reporting
- Monitor social media performance and engagement
- Create regular social media performance reports highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights
- Identify what types of content are performing well — and what isn't
- Recommend new content ideas, strategies, and opportunities based on performance and industry trends
- Help develop and refine Jackie Rey’s social media strategy over time
- Research competitors, local trends, and hospitality/food content to identify opportunities
- Bring new ideas to the table rather than simply waiting for direction
Collaboration & Restaurant Experience
- Work closely with the Jackie Rey’s team to understand upcoming specials, events, promotions, and restaurant happenings
- Coordinate with management on content priorities and upcoming marketing needs
- Be comfortable working in the restaurant environment and interacting with the team
- Communicate clearly and consistently about schedules, content needs, deadlines, and ideas
- Work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Creative and has a strong eye for photography, video, and visual storytelling
- Proactive and comfortable taking initiative
- Reliable and timely — if you say you'll be there, you show up
- Communicative and comfortable working directly with a small business team
- Interested in social media, marketing, hospitality, food, photography, or content creation
- Comfortable learning new tools and platforms
- Able to work independently and manage deadlines
- Curious about why content performs, not just how it looks
- Willing to spend consistent time on-site at the restaurant capturing content
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Instagram and Facebook
- Meta Business Suite
- Canva
- CapCut
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Social media scheduling platforms
- Photography and photo editing
- Short-form video editing
- Social media analytics and reporting
You do not need to have experience with every tool listed above. We are much more interested in someone who is creative, dependable, willing to learn, and excited to take ownership of the role.
