Digital Content Editor / SEO Content Writer
Pay: $35/hour
Location: Richmond, VA – Hybrid
Contract through end of year with a strong likelihood of extension
My client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a Digital Content Editor / SEO Content Writer to join its content marketing team. This team focuses on creating engaging digital content that educates consumers, supports financial literacy, and strengthens the overall brand.
This person will be responsible for both writing and editing digital content, with a strong focus on SEO- and GEO-driven long-form articles related to credit cards, credit education, and other financial topics.
Responsibilities:
- Write SEO-driven blog articles and other digital content as needed
- Edit long-form content for grammar, spelling, AP style, tone, and brand standards
- Fact-check content and ensure accuracy across all published materials
- Ensure content meets legal, compliance, SEO, and quality requirements
- Research topics and incorporate feedback from creative directors and internal stakeholders
- Maintain a high standard of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Communicate editorial recommendations clearly and confidently
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional writing and editing experience
- 3+ years of digital content experience
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills
- Experience creating or editing SEO-focused digital content
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Strong interest in digital content marketing and branding
Preferred:
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate marketing environment
- Experience within a regulated industry such as financial services or healthcare
- Knowledge of web-specific content considerations including ADA compliance and mobile UX
Additional Details:
- Hybrid schedule in Richmond, VA
- Must be able to work on an EST schedule
- Contract is approved through the end of the year
- This is a contract-only position with no conversion requirement
- Extension is highly likely
- One round of interviews
Writing Sample Required- Prompt will be given after phone screen with recruiter from Adecco before getting submitted to client.
