About Mark of Valor
Mark of Valor is an apparel and lifestyle brand built around grit, passion and courage. Rooted in motorsports, outdoor adventure and high-adrenaline lifestyles, we create products and content for people who refuse to live cautiously.
We’re looking for a hands-on Brand Marketing Manager who can help turn our vision into a focused, organized and consistent marketing ecosystem.
This is not simply a social media posting position. We need someone who can see the larger picture, build complete campaigns around our apparel, coordinate content production, develop our ambassador program and keep multiple marketing initiatives moving forward.
The Position
You will work directly with the founder to turn brand ideas, apparel designs and product releases into complete marketing campaigns.
Mark of Valor already has support for social media scheduling, captions, posting and photography. Your role will be to develop the broader strategy, determine what content and resources are needed, coordinate the people creating it and make sure every part of the campaign works together.
The right person will be both creative and highly organized. You should be able to take a broad idea, build a strategy around it and lead the execution without requiring constant direction.
Primary Responsibilities
Brand and Marketing Strategy-
* Help establish Mark of Valor’s overall marketing strategy and priorities
* Define audiences, content pillars, campaigns and channel strategies
* Develop quarterly and annual marketing plans
* Keep the brand’s different lifestyle categories connected under one clear identity
* Identify new opportunities for brand awareness, community growth and sales
* Help determine where the company should focus its marketing time and budget
* Review results and adjust the strategy based on performance
Product Campaigns-
* Build complete marketing campaigns around apparel designs and product launches
* Develop campaign themes, stories, messaging and creative direction
* Plan launch timelines, teasers, release content and post-launch follow-up
* Create photo and video concepts, briefs and shot lists
* Coordinate social media, email, website, ambassadors, events and advertising
* Work ahead to ensure campaigns are prepared before products launch
Content Planning and Production-
* Determine what photo and video content the brand needs each month
* Build and maintain an organized content calendar
* Recruit and coordinate photographers, videographers and freelance creators
* Plan content coverage at races, outdoor events and other relevant locations
* Manage content deadlines, deliverables and budgets
* Organize finished assets for the social media team
* Help increase the brand’s output of short-form video
* Capture or edit content when needed
Ambassador Program-
* Build and manage a structured Mark of Valor ambassador program
* Recruit racers, athletes, creators and individuals who fit the brand
* Establish ambassador expectations, rewards and content requirements
* Provide ambassadors with campaign briefs and monthly assignments
* Track participation, content delivery, reach and sales
* Develop relationships with the strongest brand representatives
* Identify authentic people and stories to feature in campaigns
Events and Partnerships-
* Research races, events and organizations that align with Mark of Valor
* Help determine where the brand should attend, sponsor or activate
* Coordinate creators and ambassadors at events
* Build relationships with racers, athletes, organizations and complementary brands
* Plan content before, during and after events
* Evaluate sponsorship and partnership opportunities
Marketing Coordination-
* Work closely with the founder, social media coordinator, designers and outside contractors
* Support email, SMS, paid advertising and customer-retention efforts
* Help coordinate website merchandising and product-launch presentation
* Maintain project timelines and keep marketing initiatives moving
* Provide clear monthly reporting on results, priorities and upcoming campaigns
Qualifications
* 3–6 years of experience in brand marketing, content marketing, campaign management or a related role
* Experience building campaigns, not just publishing individual posts
* Strong organizational and project-management skills
* Ability to turn broad ideas into clear, actionable plans
* Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and short-form video
* Experience coordinating creators, influencers, photographers or videographers
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good creative judgment and an understanding of authentic lifestyle branding
* Comfortable communicating with racers, ambassadors, partners and contractors
* Able to take ownership and work without constant supervision
* Willing to attend occasional races and events outside regular business hours
* Familiarity with e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following would be especially valuable:
* Apparel or lifestyle brands
* Motorsports, automotive or powersports
* Outdoor, hunting, western or action-sports industries
* Ambassador or influencer programs
* Event marketing and sponsorships
* Photography or videography
* Short-form video editing
* Email and SMS marketing
* Paid social advertising
* Shopify or another e-commerce platform
Direct motorsports experience is helpful, but it is not required. The ability to understand our audience and build an authentic community matters more.
During the first 90 days, you will be expected to:
* Establish clear marketing priorities and content pillars
* Build a repeatable monthly marketing system
* Develop campaigns for upcoming product releases
* Create a forward-looking marketing calendar
* Establish a network of photographers and videographers
* Develop the structure of the ambassador program
* Create an efficient workflow with the existing social media team
* Increase the amount of usable short-form video being produced
* Establish measurable goals for awareness, engagement, traffic and sales
