We are an education company specializing in college admissions and portfolio preparation for students pursuing game-related programs, including Game Design, Concept Art, 3D Art, Technical Art, VFX, and related fields.
We are currently looking for a Part-Time College Admissions Writer & Editor to support students with their university application materials.
This is a fully remote, project-based position with flexible hours. Candidates with strong English writing skills, experience in education or admissions writing, and firsthand experience with the college application process are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Write and edit Personal Statements (PS), CVs/resumes, and other application materials based on students’ background information and interview notes.
- Develop clear and compelling narratives that authentically reflect each student’s experiences, strengths, and goals.
- Follow established writing frameworks and internal guidelines while tailoring each document to the individual student.
- Complete 1–2 rounds of revisions based on feedback and deliver final materials on schedule.
Qualifications
- Excellent English writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce polished, natural, and professional application materials.
- Previous experience in college admissions, application essay writing, education-related writing, or similar work is preferred.
- Familiarity with the U.S. and/or UK university application process and admissions expectations is a strong plus.
- Firsthand experience with the college or university application process is preferred.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working within structured writing guidelines and incorporating editorial feedback.
- Well suited for professionals seeking flexible, remote project-based work, including parents returning to work or individuals interested in stable, long-term freelance collaboration.
Compensation
- $75–$300 per document, depending on document type, length, complexity, and the level of content development and revision required.
- Short-form editing assignments typically fall toward the lower end of the range, while full personal statements and projects requiring substantial narrative development or rewriting are compensated at higher rates.
- Approximately 2–10 assignments per month, with potential for increased volume during peak application seasons.
- Payments are settled monthly based on completed assignments.
- Strong, consistent contributors may be offered ongoing assignments and opportunities for long-term collaboration.
