Social Manager
About Levels
Levels is one of the fastest-growing sports nutrition brands in America.
We make premium protein powders without the gimmicks, hype, or shortcuts that dominate the category. Our products are sold through direct-to-consumer, Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Target, and a growing network of retailers across North America.
Social is a major part of how consumers discover, experience, and interact with Levels. As our audience and creator ecosystem continue to grow, we're looking for a Social Manager to own the day-to-day operation of our social channels and help us build a faster, more responsive, culturally relevant social presence.
About the Role
The Social Manager is the day-to-day operator of Levels' organic social presence.
This is not a role for someone who simply schedules posts and maintains a content calendar.
We're looking for someone who lives on social, understands how brands earn attention and participate in culture, and can independently manage the constant flow of publishing, community conversations, DMs, creator interactions, trends, opportunities, and operational details required to run a modern consumer brand's social presence.
You'll own the operational layer of social—from maintaining the calendar and publishing content to community management, social listening, creator communication, and coordination—while also contributing ideas for content, trends, formats, and conversations Levels should participate in.
You'll work closely with Brand, Creative, Content, Influencer Marketing, Performance Marketing, Ecommerce, and Customer Experience to ensure Levels shows up consistently, intelligently, and authentically across social.
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for someone who can manage a high volume of activity without letting things fall through the cracks.
What You'll Own
Social Calendar & Publishing
Own the day-to-day operation of the Levels social calendar.
- Maintain and manage the organic social calendar across key platforms.
- Coordinate content, assets, copy, approvals, timing, and publishing requirements.
- Schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant or emerging platforms.
- Ensure posts are accurate, on brand, properly formatted, and published on schedule.
- Coordinate with Brand, Creative, Content, Influencer, and other teams to keep upcoming content organized and ready to launch.
- Identify gaps in the calendar and proactively surface opportunities for additional content.
Community Management
Own how Levels interacts with its social community every day.
- Monitor and respond to comments across organic social channels.
- Proactively engage with relevant creators, consumers, brands, communities, and conversations.
- Develop meaningful interactions rather than relying on generic brand responses.
- Exercise strong judgment around brand voice, tone, humor, cultural conversations, and customer interactions.
- Identify conversations where Levels should participate—and recognize when the brand should stay out.
- Escalate sensitive customer, product, or brand issues appropriately.
DM Management
Own the Levels social inbox.
- Monitor and respond to incoming social DMs.
- Manage a high volume of conversations while maintaining responsiveness and quality.
- Route customer service, product, wholesale, creator, partnership, and other inquiries to the appropriate teams.
- Track important conversations and follow-ups through resolution.
- Identify recurring questions and opportunities that should be surfaced to the broader organization.
Paid Social Community Management
Help ensure consumers receive the same high-quality brand experience when interacting with Levels advertising.
- Monitor comments and questions across paid social campaigns.
- Respond appropriately to product questions, customer comments, and brand conversations.
- Escalate customer service or sensitive issues when necessary.
- Surface recurring objections, questions, and customer feedback that could improve future creative or messaging.
Social Listening & Cultural Awareness
Serve as an always-on source of intelligence about what is happening across social.
- Monitor relevant conversations, creators, trends, formats, memes, competitors, and emerging platform behavior.
- Surface recurring customer questions, sentiment, and feedback.
- Identify emerging conversations and cultural moments where Levels could credibly participate.
- Distinguish between meaningful opportunities and trends that don't make sense for the brand.
- Share relevant insights with Brand, Creative, Content, Influencer, and Performance Marketing teams.
- Help turn social observations into actionable content ideas and opportunities.
Influencer & Creator Coordination
Support the day-to-day communication and execution behind Levels' growing creator ecosystem.
- Manage inbound creator and influencer inquiries across social.
- Support creator outreach, responses, follow-ups, and relationship management.
- Help coordinate gifting, product requests, content opportunities, and creator communications.
- Maintain organized records of conversations, opportunities, and outstanding follow-ups.
- Identify promising creators or organic brand advocates and surface them to the Influencer Marketing team.
- Ensure high-potential relationships don't get lost in the volume of daily social activity.
Creative Ideation
Contribute actively to what Levels creates and how the brand shows up.
- Bring forward ideas for posts, recurring series, trends, formats, campaigns, creator collaborations, and cultural moments.
- Identify interesting conversations the brand can enter.
- Share platform-native ideas based on what you're seeing every day.
- Partner with Brand, Creative, and Content teams to turn observations into executable ideas.
- Help identify opportunities to move quickly on timely content.
You won't be expected to own overall brand or social strategy, but you will be expected to have opinions, creative instincts, and a strong understanding of what works on social.
Social Operations & Coordination
Build the organizational discipline required to run social at increasing scale.
- Maintain social workflows, trackers, calendars, and documentation.
- Coordinate with freelancers, creators, agencies, and external vendors as needed.
- Support vendor onboarding, invoices, finance documentation, and administrative requirements tied to social, content, and creator programs.
- Keep projects, conversations, approvals, and follow-ups organized.
- Identify recurring operational problems and help build better systems to solve them.
- Create visibility into what is publishing, what is coming next, and what requires action.
Performance & Learning
Use performance data to make the social operation smarter over time.
- Monitor organic social performance and engagement trends.
- Identify patterns across formats, topics, creators, hooks, and conversations.
- Surface high-performing and underperforming content.
- Partner with the broader marketing team to understand what is driving reach, engagement, shares, saves, comments, and conversation.
- Apply learnings to future publishing, community engagement, and content ideas.
What Success Looks Like
- Levels' social calendar is organized, current, and consistently executed.
- Content publishes accurately and on schedule across channels.
- DMs and comments are handled quickly, thoughtfully, and in the Levels brand voice.
- The brand becomes more active and responsive within relevant social conversations.
- Important customer questions and issues are surfaced quickly.
- Creator and influencer conversations receive consistent follow-through.
- High-potential creators and organic advocates are identified early.
- Trends and cultural opportunities are surfaced before they become stale.
- Social insights consistently generate useful ideas for Brand, Creative, Content, and Influencer teams.
- The social operation becomes increasingly organized, scalable, and self-sufficient.
- The broader marketing team has greater capacity to focus on social strategy, campaigns, creative development, and higher-leverage content.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of professional experience in social media, community management, social marketing, creator marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Direct experience managing day-to-day organic social for a consumer-facing brand.

- Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
- Strong understanding of platform culture, internet culture, creators, trends, memes, and how consumer brands participate in social conversations.
