Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20 hours per week
Contract: Through the end of November, with potential for extension into 2027
Pay Rate: $70.00-$74.54 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Digital Content and Editorial Specialist to support an enterprise digital project on a short-term, part-time contract basis. This position will focus on managing and improving digital editorial content, developing clear and engaging web copy, supporting website features and launches, and helping customers more easily access business programs and incentives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong digital content professional who is strategic, detail-oriented, adaptable, and experienced in working with cross-functional teams.
Position Details
- Fully remote position; candidates may work in a hybrid capacity if preferred, but there is no onsite requirement
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- No specific required workdays; candidates must be available to participate in project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders
- Preference for candidates who can primarily work during Eastern Time (EST) hours, although some flexibility may be accommodated
- One virtual interview is expected as part of the selection process
- Target start: As soon as possible
- Assignment is anticipated to run through the end of November
- There is no anticipated path to full-time hours; this role is expected to remain part-time
- Permanent conversion is unlikely; however, the contract may be extended or renewed into 2027 based on business needs
Key Responsibilities
- Manage digital editorial content with a focus on improving qualification screening and making business programs and incentives easier for customers to access
- Develop messaging strategies for qualification screening and informational webpages
- Test and launch key website features and coordinate related change-management communications
- Collaborate with UX designers and internal stakeholders to communicate clean energy programs and services, including energy efficiency, E-mobility, and targeted demand management initiatives
- Develop clear, concise, engaging, and channel-appropriate copy for dedicated landing pages
- Translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand, easy-to-scan digital content
- Champion a mobile-first approach to digital content and serve as an advocate for accessibility
- Maintain consistent editorial and design standards across digital experiences
- Advocate for the customer and promote a clear, unified approach to digital strategy and problem-solving
- Contribute to and maintain project plans
- Work closely with stakeholders across multiple areas of the organization to support digital initiatives and project objectives
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional, relevant writing experience
- Experience creating and publishing web-based content
- Strong editorial, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex information into concise and engaging digital content
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Google Analytics
- Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) such as Sitecore or SharePoint
- Experience supporting digital, UX, web, or enterprise content initiatives
- Understanding of accessibility and mobile-first digital practices
Software Experience

- Workfront
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, User Experience Design, or a related field.
