A large retail brand wants its in-house creative work to hit a lot harder. Think sports
graphics: depth, stacking, strong type, visuals that carry a campaign. The brand people
already know and trust stays, the execution gets sharper.
This starts as a freelance engagement with about one day a week onsite. If it clicks there
is a path to a permanent seat, though that is not locked in up front.
What you'll do
- Concept and design campaign visuals with real weight to them: layered, type-driven, bold
- Rebuild leadership decks into presentations people want to look at
- Push the aesthetic forward while keeping the brand recognizable
- Work alongside an in-house designer already carrying a lot of this
- Flex into motion work if you have it, at roughly a fifth of your time
What we're looking for
- 5+ years designing brand and campaign work, in-house or agency
- A portfolio with range in composition: depth, layering, typography, a fashion-forward eye
- Expert Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong presentation design, PowerPoint included
- Based in the Charlotte metro and able to be onsite one day a week
- Someone who runs their own work without much oversight
Nice to have
- After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar motion and 3D
- Retail, CPG, sports, or apparel experience
- Photo art direction or on-set support
