We are partnering with a leading global biopharmaceutical organization seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join its in-house marketing communications team.

In this role, you'll help shape impactful communications across a large enterprise, developing compelling visual content that engages internal and external audiences. Your creative expertise will influence brand experiences across a wide range of channels and business functions.
Location & Schedule
- Location: Waukegan, IL (Hybrid)
- Onsite Requirement: Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM CST
The Senior Graphic Designer will be part of a collaborative team of creative professionals including designers, creative directors, writers, motion artists, and account managers.
This position focuses on developing high-quality visual communications across digital, print, presentation, and event platforms while ensuring consistency with corporate and product branding standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong creative thinking, exceptional technical design skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create digital, print, presentation, and event-related marketing materials.
- Collaborate with creative, content, account, and vendor partners to develop innovative design solutions.
- Conceptualize and execute creative assets that align with established brand standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Participate in project planning, scope discussions, timelines, and budget considerations.
- Communicate project status and progress effectively with stakeholders.
- Develop compelling information graphics, visual storytelling assets, and branded materials.
- Stay current on emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Provide creative recommendations and proactive solutions to business challenges.
- Track project workload and contribute to team utilization goals.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional graphic design experience within an agency, corporate creative department, design firm, or freelance environment.
- Online portfolio showcasing professional design work.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Strong typography, layout, and visual communication expertise.
- Experience creating both print and digital design assets.
- Knowledge of branding, editorial design, and visual identity systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Teams.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing or compliance environments.
- Adobe Premiere Pro experience.
- Adobe After Effects experience.
- Experience with motion graphics and video content development.
- Background in packaging design, signage, environmental graphics, or event branding.
