Colorado Media Group - southern Colorado's largest business news outlet is seeking an experienced freelance business writer to cover business, economic development, workforce, innovation, and community leadership throughout Douglas and Arapahoe counties.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interviewing, research, and AP-style writing skills who can develop relationships with business leaders, attend occasional events, and produce timely, accurate, and engaging stories for digital, print, radio, and social media platforms.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional journalism or business writing experience preferred
- Strong interviewing, news judgment, and deadline management
- Knowledge of Colorado's business community
- Reliable transportation for local assignments
- Portfolio of published business or news articles required
