Join Our Production Team
Weston Media Center is expanding our roster of freelance multimedia professionals for ongoing production work throughout the year.
We're looking for experienced multimedia storytellers who are equally excited about producing broadcast-quality programming and creating engaging content for today's digital audiences. Whether it's filming a community event, editing a 30-second social media reel, producing engaging short form content to grow our Youtube audience, or helping expand Weston Media's online presence, we're looking for people who enjoy creating content that connects with audiences wherever they watch.
Assignments may include community events, concerts, government meetings, interviews, documentaries, promotional videos, and special productions.
If you're dependable, creative, and take pride in producing excellent work, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Film a variety of productions using professional video equipment.
- Record clean, high-quality audio.
- Set up lighting and production equipment as needed.
- Edit projects using professional editing software.
- Deliver polished work on schedule.
- Follow established production workflows and file management procedures.
- Work independently or collaboratively depending on the production.
Qualifications
We're looking for professionals who:
- Have experience operating professional video cameras.
- Are proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro or other professional editing software.
- Can work efficiently while maintaining high production quality.
- Have strong storytelling instincts and attention to detail.
- Are dependable, organized, and communicate professionally.
- Can take direction while also working independently.
- Are comfortable working evenings or weekends when productions require.
Experience with livestreams, multi-camera productions, podcasts, motion graphics

Bonus Skills
- Creating YouTube Shorts and vertical video content.
- Editing engaging short-form content for social media.
- YouTube optimization, including titles, thumbnails, metadata, playlists, and audience engagement.
- Graphic design using Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar software.
- Livestreaming and multi-camera productions.
- Podcast production and audio editing.

Compensation: $35 to $50 per hour, depending on experience
Successful applicants will be required to complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check prior to being assigned work involving the Weston Public Schools or other youth-related productions.
