About DJ BOT
DJ BOT is a mobile DJ and MC service specializing in weddings, corporate events, school dances, and private parties across Southeast Texas, Southwest Louisiana, and the greater Houston area. As bookings grow, we're looking for a reliable creative partner to capture our events on photo and video and turn that into content that markets the business.
The Role
This is a flexible, event-based contract position focused on capturing high-quality photo and video of the DJ in action at select events, then editing it into content we can use to market the business. You would not be photographing clients' weddings as a service. Your main job is making DJ BOT look great on camera. Posting that content to our social accounts is an optional add-on if you're interested and available.
This role starts in October 2026. Work happens on an as-needed basis, primarily on weekends when events are booked, plus remote editing time during the week.
What You'll Do
- Attend select events to shoot photo and short-form video (crowd energy, the DJ setup, key moments, behind the scenes)
- Edit footage into a highlight reel plus a set of finished photos after each event
- Deliver files promptly, formatted and ready for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Optional, if you're interested: post or schedule the content to our social accounts when asked
- Optional: help with simple captions or promotional graphics as needed
What We're Looking For
- Solid photo and short-form video editing skills (a camera, CapCut Premium, and Canva Premium are provided, or you're welcome to use your own gear if you prefer)
- A portfolio or reel showing photo and short-form video work (event or nightlife content a big plus)
- Comfort working solo at loud, fast-moving events
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the service area
- Weekend availability when events are booked (this is where most gigs happen)
- Strong sense of pacing, music, and energy in short-form edits
- Dependable communication and quick turnaround on deliverables
Nice to Have
- Experience with weddings, concerts, or nightlife content
- Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook best practices
- Comfort making simple graphics in Canva (Canva Premium is provided)
- Familiarity with paid social (boosting posts, basic ad setup)

Pay
Pay is a flat rate per gig, based on event type, covering on-site shooting plus edited deliverables (for example, 1 highlight reel plus 5 to 10 finished photos)
This is a 1099 contractor arrangement: you set your own creative approach & work on a per-event basis.
Pay: $150.00 - $300.00 per day
