CONTRACT REPORTERS, WRITERS, RESEARCHERS & CONTRIBUTORS WANTED
The Watershed Observer is seeking contract reporters, writers, researchers, interviewers, transcribers, and community contributors interested in public-interest journalism.
No experience is necessary. We welcome students, retirees, recent graduates, professionals, subject-matter experts, and community members from all backgrounds. Whether you're looking to gain experience, stay engaged after retirement, contribute during a school break, or put your expertise to work, we'd love to hear from you.
Contractors must be 18 years of age or older.
Remote contributors are welcome. While some assignments may involve local reporting or interviews, many opportunities can be completed remotely.
Contractors must be willing to adhere to the principles of the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics, including accuracy, fairness, independence, and accountability.

Compensation is negotiable and varies by assignment. Projects may be compensated on a per-deliverable basis or through project-specific hourly rates, depending on the nature and scope of the work.
