Role Description The Video Editor role at Arkon Performance Media is a part-time, hybrid position based in Eau Claire, WI. This role involves editing video footage into compelling, on-brand content for social media and other digital platforms, including cutting clips, arranging timelines, adding transitions, and incorporating audio. The Video Editor will perform basic to advanced color grading, integrate motion graphics and visual elements (like captions), and ensure all content meets quality, branding, and storytelling standards. We are looking for <10 hours a week, with responsibilities that include collaborating with me, organizing and managing media assets, exporting final files to Google Drive, and contributing creative ideas to improve video concepts and workflows. The role may also include occasional support for on-site video production, such as assisting with shoots, camera setups, and lighting, as needed and if interested in taking the next step.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with home service industries
- Strong video production skills, including experience with camera operation, lighting, and audio capture.
- Proficient video editing skills using Davinci Resolve
- Ability to perform video color grading and basic color correction to achieve consistent, professional visuals.
- Motion graphics and graphics skills for creating captions and thumbnails.
- Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling ability, and an understanding of content for social media platforms.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively with a small team, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Relevant experience in video editing for marketing, content creation, or social media; portfolio or reel required.
