Job Opportunity: Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator (Contract)
We are seeking a dynamic, trend-obsessed Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator to join our fast-growing retail team. This is a 6–12 month contract role (40 hours/week) with a strong likelihood of extension or conversions
This is not a passive scheduling role. We are looking for a true social native who lives and breathes digital culture, understands retail product storytelling, and thrives on creating content while trends are still hot. You will support the Social Media Manager as both an operational coordinator and an agile content creator, helping us move faster than traditional agency timelines

Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Trend Spotting Capture and create social-first content, including filming and editing high-engagement Reels and short-form videos
- Develop lifestyle-driven content around seasonal moments and trending products (e.g., home styling, tablescapes, holiday decorating, and beauty/impulse item features)
- .Monitor social platforms for emerging trends, viral sounds, memes, and cultural moments, producing same-day or next-day reactive content.
- Reformat existing brand assets and user-generated content (UGC) into platform-native formats
Social Publishing & Operations
- Manage day-to-day social administration, calendar execution, and publishing across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Monitor UGC opportunities and engage in community conversations to capitalize on real-time momentum.
- Maintain strict content quality, ensuring all captions, copy, and text overlays are polished, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines
- Support influencer initiatives alongside external agency partners
Must Haves:
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated social media experience, ideally within retail, home décor, beauty, or consumer lifestyle brands.
- Content Skills: Strong portfolio of short-form video production (TikTok/Reels); highly comfortable filming and editing content independently.
- Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of platform-native behaviors, algorithms, and creator-style content.
- Execution: Proven ability to manage social publishing calendars while maintaining the agility to pivot priorities for real-time trend capitalization.
