VCNebraska is recruiting a part-time Social Media Manager and Content Producer. The role will report directly to and work closely with VCNebraska’s Director of Youth Programming to execute the organization’s external communications strategy. The Social Media Manager and Content Producer is responsible for both content creation and dissemination across a range of mediums and platforms. Examples of work include graphic design, print collateral, animation, videography, email campaigns, and social media account content management. Ultimately, the role is responsible for ensuring VCNebraska’s voice and culture is heard and felt in the community through social media and other communication vehicles.
Capturing content at practices, tournaments, and every moment in between, the role will be the eyes and ears of VCNebraskas community and will allow the candidate to put their photography and videography skills to use to captivate our target audience.
You Are
- Experienced in design software. You have a basic understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Ready to engage. You have a strong interest in social media and experience sharing and engaging on various platforms. Managing social media accounts other than your personal account is easy for you.
- Dedicated to video content creation and distribution. You follow sports media outlets and other content creators to find inspiration and apply your learnings.
- Autonomous and timely. You’re able to prioritize your work independently and ensure projects are executed by stated deadlines.
- Craving Feedback. You’re a trusted member of the team able to make your own decisions and back them up, while also being humble enough to accept positive criticism and grow in your role.

- Capture our best moments. We will send you out to practices and tournaments across the country to showcase our hard work and the results that come with it.
- Be creative. Take time to understand VCNebraska’s culture and voice, then explore ways to bring that to life via our social media platforms
- Streamline our systems. Creating a systematic and streamlined social media calendar is critical to the ongoing success of this position.
- Take your work seriously and professionally. Club volleyball is supposed to be fun and it is very rewarding. However, we expect professionalism and excellence in all we do.
- Be an involved member of the team. You will actively participate in staff meetings and bring your unique perspective to the table.
- Be a team player. There are times we may ask if you can help with some of our bigger events like tryouts, camps, and tournaments we host.
