Project Overview
Air-Care is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to lead the full rebuild and redesign of our current e-commerce website using Elementor. Our current site is built on WPBakery, and this project involves rebuilding the site from the ground up in a modern Elementor-based architecture.
All site copy and image assets will be provided by our internal Marketing Department. Design decisions will be made collaboratively between the hired candidate and our Creative Director. We are looking for someone who brings current web design knowledge and can make informed recommendations alongside our creative team.
The goal is a high-performance site that seamlessly serves both retail customers (B2C) and professional/wholesale partners (B2B).
Scope of Work1. Platform Rebuild (WPBakery to Elementor)
Rebuild all existing pages in a clean Elementor-based architecture. Note that converter tools handle only basic content; most pages will require hands-on rebuilding by the candidate. A strong design eye and experience with Elementor Pro are essential.
2. WooCommerce & E-Commerce Development
This is a major scope item. The candidate will be responsible for:
- Building and implementing product page templates for a catalog of 200+ SKUs spanning consumable products and commercial equipment.
- Establishing and maintaining catalog structure, taxonomy, and product data entry logic.
- Configuring pricing rules, including tiered wholesale pricing for B2B partners.
- Setting up account gating for professional/wholesale login portals.
- Managing tax-exempt status for contractor accounts.
3. Dual-Channel (B2B/B2C) Functionality
- Implement robust B2B/B2C logic throughout the site.
- Professional login portals with role-based access.
- Tiered wholesale pricing visible only to verified accounts.
- Tax-exempt status management for qualifying contractors.
4. Backend & Server Management
The candidate will have full ownership of Plesk hosting environment tasks, including:
- SSL certificate management and renewals.
- Database optimization and routine maintenance.
- Server-level troubleshooting in coordination with our hosting provider.
- Cloudflare configuration as it relates to site performance and security (candidate should be familiar with what is managed at the Cloudflare level vs. the hosting level).
5. Custom Development
- Utilize CSS, HTML, and PHP to customize WooCommerce functionality beyond standard plugin capabilities.
- Develop custom hooks and template overrides as needed to support product page and checkout requirements.
6. Technical SEO & Zero-Loss Migration
Ensuring continuity of our current search rankings is a priority. The candidate is responsible for:
- Managing all 301 redirects from old URL structures to new.
- Preserving and migrating all Yoast SEO settings, metadata, and schema markup.
- Rebuilding and validating sitemap structure.
- Conducting pre- and post-launch speed benchmarks and Core Web Vitals testing.
7. Third-Party Tools & Integrations
Our current site runs a number of active tools and integrations. All must be preserved, tested, and confirmed functional post-launch. These include:
- Facebook Pixel
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- LiveChat
- Quiz Maker
- Additional plugins and tracking tools currently active on the site (full list to be provided upon engagement)
Note: Any tool that breaks during the rebuild represents a data loss risk. The candidate is expected to document and verify each integration as part of the QA process.
Candidate Requirements

- Las Vegas Local: Must be available to meet in person at our Las Vegas headquarters on a periodic basis.
- Elementor Expert: Mastery of the Elementor builder (preferably Elementor Pro) and its technical ecosystem.
- WooCommerce Specialist: Proven experience managing complex catalogs with varied product types (consumable goods, heavy commercial equipment).
- Backend Proficiency: Proven experience managing sites via Plesk and high-level hosting environments.
- Custom Development Skills: Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and PHP with a track record of WooCommerce customization.
- Web Design Knowledge: Familiarity with current design trends, UX best practices, and responsive design. Ability to make informed design and layout recommendations.
- SEO Competency: Working knowledge of Yoast SEO, schema markup, sitemaps, and technical SEO best practices.
- Clear Communicator: Ability to explain technical milestones, decisions, and challenges in plain English without relying on IT jargon.
Timeline, Milestones & Acceptance Criteria
A formal project timeline, phased milestones, and acceptance criteria will be defined collaboratively with the selected candidate prior to the start of work. We expect all parties to agree on clear benchmarks covering site speed, mobile performance, checkout functionality, integration testing, and final launch readiness before the project is considered complete.
