Avenue Rugs is seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Product Designer to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This role blends creativity, client collaboration, and production coordination. You will manage custom rug projects from concept through completion—translating client inspiration into compelling visual designs, preparing production-ready files, and ensuring every finished piece meets Avenue Rugs’ quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with clients to design custom rugs, woven carpet, and acoustical art by interpreting inspiration into top-down renderings or working within our in-house design application.
· Create accurate digital renderings and production-ready files using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
· Present designs to clients via email and virtual meetings, gather feedback, and manage revisions efficiently.
· Prepare detailed renderings and specifications for factory production.
· Receive and review samples for quality control, documenting findings and confirming design accuracy.
· Inspect finished rugs upon delivery, document quality, label items for organization and fulfillment, and coordinate pickup or shipping to final destinations.
· Track and communicate order progress from production through delivery, following up with clients as needed.
· Develop creative ideas and visual content for social media that highlight custom projects, design processes, and product stories.
· Manage and optimize SEO and GEO strategies to improve organic search rankings.
· Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing and communication channels.
· Monitor and support digital marketing performance using Google Analytics and Google Ads.
Skills & Experience
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) or comparable design tools.
- · Familiarity with CAD and Revit is a plus.
