Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Freelance Journalist, based in New Jersey. The Freelance Journalist will be responsible for creating engaging and accurate news articles, researching trending topics, and producing high-quality press releases. Writing unbiased and precise news stories for various media platforms will be part of the daily tasks, as well as contributing to live broadcasting as needed. The role requires collaboration with editors, attending local events, and meeting deadlines consistently.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Writing, News Writing, and crafting Press Releases
- Strong skills in Research to gather and verify credible information
- Knowledge of Broadcasting and ability to assist in producing live reports
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in reporting local news is a plus
