Richmond, VA - hybrid: remote and in-person for shoots
Part-Time Contractor
$30–40/hr | 15–25 hrs/week
We are looking for someone with a GREAT personality: warm, engaging, great energy, makes clients feel like a million bucks. 60-70% Project Management 30-40% Creative. NOT a camera operator or editor.

We produce meaningful, documentary-style storytelling — not generic corporate content.
Responsibilities
- Own client projects from kickoff to final delivery
- Lead pre-production (shot lists, interview questions, light scripting)
- Manage scheduling and production logistics
- Be on sight for shoots and conduct interviews and engage with clients on set
- Oversee post-production and manage editor feedback
- Maintain proactive client communication
- Select music and shape narrative flow
- Publish final content across client platforms
- Ensure projects stay on schedule
This is NOT for someone looking to be a camera operator, videographer, or editor.
Requirements
- 3–6+ years experience in video production or agency environment
- Experience being on shoots
- Experience managing client-facing projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written communication
- Strong creative direction instincts
- Richmond-based and available for on-site shoots

Preferred Qualifications
- Documentary-style storytelling experience
- Experience in B2B or infrastructure industries
- Familiarity with Frame.io, Notion, Google Workspace
- Social media publishing experience
Compensation
- $30–40/hour based on experience and demonstrated ownership
- Contractor role with potential growth as company scales
Candidates demonstrating strong independent project leadership during the evaluation process will be considered at the top of the compensation range.
