We are looking for a skilled Social Media Specialist with expertise in corporate marketing to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in West Des Moines, Iowa, and offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful social media campaigns and community engagement initiatives within the life insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing or communications and a proven ability to create and manage content across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Develop engaging and creative content for corporate social media channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and enterprise goals.
• Schedule and manage posts across social media platforms, including LinkedIn, using tools like Sprout Social.
• Analyze social media metrics and performance data to optimize campaigns and provide actionable insights.
• Write press releases and manage public relations efforts to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
• Coordinate community engagement activities, such as employee appreciation events and corporate giving campaigns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and adapt assets for corporate social media use.
• Participate in the planning and execution of marketing projects beyond social media efforts.
• Manage and grow online communities by fostering interactions and addressing inquiries.
• Ensure all content adheres to AP Style and demonstrates attention to detail.
• Assist in LinkedIn advertising campaigns to expand reach and engagement.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, marketing, or communications.
• Proficiency in AP Style and corporate social media practices.
• Expertise in managing social media channels and creating targeted campaigns.
• Strong skills in social media content creation and community management.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and tools like Sprout Social.
• Ability to analyze social media performance metrics and produce actionable recommendations.
• Experience in writing press releases and handling public relations tasks.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
