Role Overview
The Graphic Designer II brings strong visual craft, strategic thinking, and a passion for brand storytelling. Sitting within the Brand Design team, this role helps shape how brands appear across digital and traditional channels, creating cohesive, insight-driven assets optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce assets for brand campaigns and multi-channel marketing initiatives, including in-app, web, email, paid media, and select print placements.
- Translate brand guidelines and marketing briefs into clear, compelling visual solutions that work across formats and platforms.
- Develop layouts, image compositions, and typography-driven designs that support campaign narratives and performance goals.
- Provide end-to-end graphic design support for digital channels (in-app, website, CRM, social, and paid media), ensuring consistency and quality at every touchpoint.
- Partner with Art Directors and Creative Directors to ideate, test, and evolve new content formats based on performance data, audience insights, and platform best practices.
- Collaborate with motion designers to build and refine graphics packages, including title cards, lower thirds, end slates, and other design elements.
- Support the development of presentations and pitch decks, including layout, visual storytelling, and asset curation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Explore and refine logos, brand marks, visual systems, and style guides for new and existing initiatives, documenting clear usage rules and examples.
- Maintain and update brand toolkits and style guides; champion brand consistency and integrity across all produced materials.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality, production-ready files on time and within scope.
- Incorporate feedback from creative leadership and cross-functional partners, clearly articulating design rationale and trade-offs.
Required Skills & Experience - Photoshop Compositing & Retouching
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with complex image compositing, photo manipulation, and retouching for digital and/or print campaigns.
- Typographic Layout
- 4+ years of experience applying typographic fundamentals (hierarchy, rhythm, scale, legibility) across web and mobile experiences, as well as static and motion applications.
- Communication & Collaboration
- 4+ years of experience working within creative or marketing teams.
- Ability to clearly present work, explain design decisions, and respond thoughtfully to feedback from managers and peers.
Preferred Skills
- Motion Design: Experience designing for animation and/or creating motion-ready assets; familiarity with motion workflows and deliverables.
- Figma Prototyping: Ability to create design systems, components, and prototypes for digital experiences.
- Project Management Tools: Experience using Monday.com or similar project management platforms in a creative or production environment.
Soft Skills & Working Style
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision while knowing when to ask questions or escalate issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to creative leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Self-starter with a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team critiques, brainstorms, and workshops.
- Demonstrated design thinking and problem-solving skills, supported by a portfolio that shows process and rationale, not just final outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- Solid understanding of design fundamentals, including layout, composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience designing for both print and digital outputs, with awareness of production requirements and technical considerations.
Technology Requirements - High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically:
- Adobe Photoshop (advanced compositing and retouching)
- Adobe Illustrator (vector illustration, logos, iconography)
- Adobe InDesign (long-form layout, multi-page documents, presentations)
- Experience with Figma for interface design, layout exploration, and collaboration.
- A current, relevant portfolio is required and should clearly indicate your role and contributions on each project.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts, or a related creative discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
