Job Overview:
The Marketing Assistant is a fixed 1-year term, part-time hybrid position reporting to the Executive Operations Associate. In this role, you will support Telcion as an essential part of our marketing strategy and assist with website development and maintenance, digital and print asset creation, marketing data analytics, and social media management.
This position will give you the opportunity to:
- Grow and expand your creative and digital marketing skills
- Make a visible impact on a growing technology business
At the end of your 1-year term as a Marketing Assistant, you will be evaluated by your manager and have a conversation about possible next steps, which could include (but is not guaranteed to be) an extension of your job term or conversion to full-time.
Typical Day in the Life:
You start your day in the morning by checking your email and Telcion’s internal messaging platform for updates on the ongoing website project. Then you knock out some edits to a whitepaper you worked on the day before and send it to the project lead.
After that, you meet your manager at a local coffee shop and discuss the next phase of the website project and what your respective responsibilities are. Then you have a coworking session, during which you pull reporting data from the company’s social media platforms, format into a single spreadsheet, and send to your manager to review.
By early afternoon you’re starting to wrap up your work for the day. You make notes on the progress you’ve made, and ask the relevant team members if you have any questions on items you are unclear about. Then you record your time, set your status to “busy,” and log out for the day!
