Skyword is seeking talented freelance technical writers with experience creating content in the avionics industry.
Content created will be about in-flight entertainment and communication technology, geared to an audience of buyers and existing customers (airlines) and top-level administrators (programming staff and technicians). The brand tone is positive, intelligent, approachable, and candid, with the goal of discussing the product and thought leadership around the tech with industry decision-makers in plainspeak.
The writer should feel comfortable discussing commercial entertainment technology — including the systems, related digital solutions, Wi-Fi connectivity, app integration, and technical services — and have a demonstrated ability to translate complex subject matter into easy-to-understand material. Experience in writing about or working in the in-flight entertainment industry is preferred but not required.
Content created may include B2B short articles and landing pages (product-focused with some SEO/AEO), longform copy (white papers/ebooks), and materials for expos and direct sharing (one-sheets, video scripts, infographics, handouts).
Writers must supply three pieces of example content related to any B2B tech or SaaS product marketing (in-flight entertainment preferred but not required) from within the past three years (2023 or later).
