Be a part of telling West Virginia Wesleyan College’s story! The Marketing Graduate Assistants are content creators who will contribute to the growth of the College’s brand and enhance the external and internal affairs of the College. Marketing Graduate Assistants will plan and create content, build support for events, and act as an on-the-ground asset for the Marketing Department.
Position Responsibilities
- Create three feature videos a month
- Write press releases as needed to help tell the College’s story
- Assist with sending email messages as needed during work hours
- Provide support during key weekend events on campus (Orientation, Homecoming, Spring Weekend, Graduation, etc.) as needed. Some evenings may be needed.
- Assist with graphic design and photography needs
- Assist with webpage creation and updates as needed
- Monitor media outreach/social media impressions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Acceptance to one of WVWC’s graduate programs
- Some social media or digital content creation experience is preferred
This position will run August 1 – May 31. The graduate assistant will work 20 hours a week and must remain a full-time student and be in good academic standing. Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to Amanda Hayes, Manager of Marketing and Communication, at hayes.a@wvwc.edu.
